Bones

Made as a conceptual art piece, these bones celebrate the invisible structures that support us all. They are built using an armature of cardboard and plumber's epoxy and then coated with paper clay. Pastels were used to create the patina. This lightweight sculpture was modeled after bones found on a hike in the Santa Cruz Mountains. For more detailed information about the construction process, see the process page.
