Woodcuts

When printed, woodcuts create a lovely texture on the paper because of the grooves created when carving. Linoleum is easier to carve but the texture is flatter. Linoleum is preferred when printing text.

I made these woodcuts in 2014. The owl was a limited run of five and the mouse was a run of about fifty. These woodcuts were printed both by hand and on a Vandercook Press.
